Review DVD: Journey into Power: Baptiste: Power Vinyasa Yoga: Vol. 2

Category: Yoga — by Amit Chaudhary @ 9:09 am

My review of the Yoga DVD: Journey into Power: Baptiste: Power Vinyasa Yoga: Vol. 2.

Amazon link. Netflix link.

Score: 2.5/5

Some good snippets:

  • Your yoga practise is meeting half way to the universe.
  • Spend some “do nothing” time.
  • Come up lightly to Warrior 2. The buddha said, cultivate lightness, be light.

Summary:
One hour of vinyasa yoga, loosely based on Ashtanga (Mysore) Yoga. Effort level, higher than Rainbeu Mar’s Yoga for Beauty and less than Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga, level 1. Unique part is tha Baron does not do Yoga, there are students doing it and it is talking and doing some physical modifications throughout.
Fair amount of sun salutations, with backbends, twists and balances thrown in. One of the few DVD with Bridge and Tree pose.
I doubt, if I will use this again, does not give anything new and Baron Baptiste’s voice will take getting use to.

Modifications: None.
Location: Studio
Music: Do not remember

Duration: About 60 minutes

FYI: My earlier Yoga DVD reviews on Amazon.com
