On Detox

Category: Health — by Amit Chaudhary @ 8:13 pm

My thoughts: Would prefer fasting as a way of moderation over Detox, particularly with no direct benefits of Detox.

The first and last word from Doctors:
Dr. Pankaj Rajvanshi, liver-gastroenterology specialist at Pacific Medical Center: “There’s no clinical evidence that [an eating program] cleanses the liver. Studies have been done where liver enzymes were checked before and after such a plan, and there was no discernable difference.

From the Seattle times article, where the author went on a 28 day detox program
Will a “detox cleanse” really leave a body cleaner and more energized?

An interesting article in Yoga Magazine by the Bihar School of Yoga: It’s Never Too Early to DetoxifyCovers asanas, pranayama and kriyas as detox methods.
Background: Dr S.S. Sibia, MD (Ludhiana, Punjab)’s chelation therapy to fix free radicals and external counter pulsation.

Chelation has it’s own issues.
